Our Doctors

Dr. Mitra Madison completed her Bachelor's degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. She graduated in 2000 with her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. In 2005, Dr. Mitra Madison joined her husband, Dr. Adam Madison, in establishing Eye Care Doctors of Optometry, and continues to enjoy the everyday challenges of working at a medical practice and providing healthcare to the fine people of Fredericksburg and surrounding areas.

In addition to practicing full primary care, Dr. Madison has developed several specialties, including ocular disease, contact lenses, and laser vision correction. She has attained systemic, topical, and diagnostic therapeutic drug license privileges in Virginia.

Dr. Madison enjoys her time with her beautiful son and daughter, as well as cherishing the loving the memory of her husband.

Dr. Wade E. Fiegl graduated from Houghton College in western N.Y. before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997 from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA. His training included externships at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, and the Philadelphia VA Hospital.

After graduating with academic and clinical honors, Dr. Fiegl served as a Navy Lieutenant at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL. At NAS JAX, he participated in the Aviation Contact Lens Program, the military Laser Vision PRK Study, and the Eye Health Readiness Study. Before joining Eye Care Doctors of Optometry in Feb 2010, Dr. Fiegl served for ten years at a large private practice near Binghamton, NY, where his interests included: specialty contact lenses, treatment of eye disease and glaucoma, diabetic eye exams, and co-management of laser vision correction and cataract surgeries.

Dr. Fiegl has been a member of the American Optometric Association, Armed Forces Optometric Society, and New York State Optometric Society. He is currently a founding member of the American Optometric Society. When he’s not practicing Optometry, Dr. Fiegl enjoys reading, listening to music, spending time with his wife and five children, and participating in his church community.

Dr. Tracy Dzibela was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada where she graduated from Saint Mary's University in Halifax with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1999. She then attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, completing externships across the country from Florida to Alaska. After graduation in 2005, she practiced for several years in New Jersey before moving to Fredericksburg where she practiced for over ten years. 

Dr. Dzibela specializes in building relationships with her patients, from infants to the elderly, whether they need routine eye care or medical optometric care such as diabetic eye exams or glaucoma treatment. Dr. Dzibela is also currently a member of the Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society. She is passionate about the prevention of ocular disease rather than solely treating eye diseases. 

When not practicing Optometry, Dr. Dzibela enjoys spending time with her family and her many pets, traveling, hiking, and training for marathon races.
